KeymasterThanks, the clay render was a quick one but agree not completely in scene. I started texturing and came to the conclusion I am just going to render the clay model I think? Just feel I want to rather invest time on another project… So will send the final model and pose without texture soon and call it done. Lost inspiration here by gaining another with another project 🙂

KeymasterHey man looking good. I think that your objects like shield and axe’s texturing is nice and getting there. I am not sure what your aim is with the fur, if you are going to cover the whole body then the next note I guess does not matter. But the texturing on the character itself still feels unnatural. Currently extremely busy with no focus maybe try to bring some elements in that would live in the real world?
But getting there, clearly “work” deadlines are not that hectic 🙂

KeymasterSome renders of block out. I am going against my usual process, will see how this works out. Time to retopo…

KeymasterNoted, I feel the character should be a lot more beefy. If you look at the concept art you will see a lot more neck and muscle mixed with fat.. Body builder that gave in on Mcdonald’s. Character’s balance is better when moving stomach out a bit.
My legs I feel are closer to concept – not 100% what you mean by the bipedal part (human legs?) For me the concept looks more like a quadruped type leg? Let me know!
[quote=3476]– …almost as though he is leaning too far forward . . . by moving his shoulders forward I think it will resolve the side profile form…… The legs are getting better, but as it is a bipedal humanoid character maybe it still feels strange because it looks like the legs of an antelope or dog…

KeymasterMy update on shapes, I just have to keep myself back from diving into details the whole time! Feeling happy about most of the upper body. hands much better need a bit more love and then just need to look at feet again. Pigs have quite funny feet and to do a hybrid (man/pig) makes it tricky to not look like the pig man is standing on high heels haha. Hoping to dive into topo soon.

KeymasterI would first focus on getting details finished before doing the textures. Meaning small things like wrinkles, fat, pores but this is just my process. Then for texturing I probably would take a lot from real pigs and work my way in? But hey I am not even at retopo stage yet :-0 – Currently the texture does not feel like it has focus
